RICK PFAU

I've wanted either a 55 or 56 T-Bird for decades but was waiting until I was no longer riding my motorcycle.  My son talked me into acting sooner on this since I could be riding for many more years.

We started looking on the Saturday before Father's Day by looking at a 1956         T-Bird that needed work and money to fix it up right.  Saturday night he found a 1955 T-Bird that was in Illinois and looked in great shape.  My son called the seller's son (the sons were doing all the work) and we went down to see it on Father's Day.

After seeing it I immediately bought it.  I was leaving in a few days to go up north for 3 weeks, so my son arranged to pick it up for me and got everything running and in good shape by the time I got back home in mid-July.  Since then I've put 1000 miles on it and am totally enjoying it.  We still have a couple of things to do but nothing major.  I bought it to drive and not necessarily take to car shows, although I have gone to 2 different shows with it.  It won a first place in Classic Vintage Car category at its first show.
